Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 2

I went to the midnight showing, and it was amazing!!! I almost cried at some parts. I'll write more later, but for now, you can enjoy the "Awkward Laugh & Hug" clip... I have probably watched it 50+ times, and I still LOL (And I hardly ever laugh out loud) Enjoy!

P.S. doesn't it look like Dean is about to burst out laughing at the end?

Facebook Challenge Day 2

Oh haii! I'm going to study for my American History final right now, and then the rest of the day is going to be dedicated to finishing up English & watching my oldest sister open her mission call!

Buh-bye!

No Facebook Challenge... 2nd try!

HEY YOU GUYS!!!

Yep, I just quoted the Electric Company. I feel sooo cool. Just kidding, but I do like shouting it. You should try it; it's a good stress reliever :)
Anyways, I'm attempting the Facebook challenge again. And you know what I just realized? School comes back in a month! No! (YES!!!!!) I'm SO excited to wear the good ol' uniform again! Seriously, no sarcasm here. Plus it's going to be my senior year.

I realized that most of my summer, as I predicted, HAS been spent on Facebook. And I'm all sad and stuff because I haven't been hanging out with friends as much as I wanted to (FACT). Therefore, not going on Facebook is the compromise I came up with. I will not be posting every single day, since sometimes I don't do much (I have "off" days, if you know what I mean). So, yep! I'm excited! Maybe I'll even exercise more! ^^ <=== happy face

Good news: I'm 17 now! YAY one more year and I could vote and hold the puppies at the mall!! Harry Potter 7 Part 2 comes out this week! Ballroom is on Friday! My good pal Dale is coming home from the Scotland Edinburgh mission in a month! And I just saved 15% on car insurance by switching to Geico! (Just kidding about the last one).

Life is good, pretty much... K Bye.

P.S. Sorry about the side-way-ness of the pic.

NEW TYPE OF EXPLOSION THAT DOESN'T REQUIRE FIRE...!

Well, it will result in fire. I almost learned this the hard way...

So, I watched "The Princess and the Frog" (IDK why, but I'm obsessed with that movie. There's my confession of the day... But I'm being careful not to watch it too much so I won't get sick of it like how I got sick of "Tangled". Sad, but true.) with my siblings today. For those who haven't seen it, she serves this kind of doughnut called "beignets" at a restaurant she works at.
I don't know about you, but to me, they look an awful lot like Indian Fry Bread (And she serves it the same way I do!) Soooo I decided to look up a recipe & make Indian Fry Bread.

Well, to make the bread would required to heat up oil on a pan on the stove, so that you could, you know, fry the bread.

When I was done making it, I held the pan over the sink & turned on the faucet. It started to doing this crackly-bubbly thing, and I thought that was normal, since I've made stuff that requires oil before.
Welp, my mom heard the crackling, turned around, and said with a gasp, "Mary! Don't do that; it will burst into flames! Put it back on the stove!"
I turned off the water, took a step and a half when it exploded, splattering piping hot oil & water all over the floor, the hand that was holding the pan, & my arm. OUCH! So I ended up putting it on top of the dishes. It burst again as I was walking away, therefore making me subconsciously scared of being near the sink.

Quite the adventure, but now I'm tempted to heat up a pan of oil, put it in the middle of the street, & "light it on fire" by spraying water in it with the hose. Yep, I love fire, and explosions.

Doughnuts!!!

I hope you are not craving doughnuts right now because I am. Actually, not anymore because I had a huge glass of water just now (It works wonders when it comes to getting rid of cravings).

Have you ever had a morning like this?:
So, you are lying in bed early in the morning. You are half asleep, half hearing what is going on around you, but you are mostly conscious (I guess you could say). Then you hear the convos that are going on in the kitchen because some of your family members are getting ready for work (making lunches, eating breakfast). You don't quite comprehend what they are talking about when you hear them say: doughnuts. All of a sudden, you're awake, jumping out of bed and going to the kitchen.
Your mom says good morning while you're looking in the microwave, on the counter, or in the oven for the doughnuts. You mumble "good morning" back and crawl back into bed with the disappointment that there was, in fact, no doughnuts in the house.

Obviously, it didn't happen to you this exact way, but I'm sure something similar has happened to you. Don't worry, I can relate. Have a good day. :)

Courtney Cotter has a Music Video out!

Courtney Cotter has a music video. 'Nough said :)

Snuggies

Snuggies are one of those things that are really not necessary to live, but it's nice to have one.

Today, I feel as awesome as those people in the advertisements, sitting on my sisters bed and working on my online classes with her laptop, glasses, hair in a sloppy bun, whilst wearing the families' pink Snuggie. :)

Screaming Girls

So, I was working on online classes when all of a sudden I hear a group of little kids screaming. Even though it was daytime, I still have a very imaginative mind when I'm home alone. I thought they were being attacked or something! So, I ran to the front window to see what was going on, and it turned out that it was just a group of about 5 little girls walking home from school. [I'm sure that they were so excited that school is ending soon they have extra energy, therefore they scream to let it out.]

I waited for the next girl to scream, and when she did, I screamed back. [NOTE: They could not see me because you generally can't see through screens in the daytime] They all looked around in confusion, and I had to run to the opposite side of the house to let go of a ball of laughter. I ran back to the window and kept screaming back at them until they were too far for me to hear them.

100TH POST AHHH!!!! :D

Ollo! (Yes, I just quoted "Megamind". LOVE that movie)
So, this is my 100th post! Hurray! I'm so excited! :D OK, not really. It doesn't really change my life that much, just proves that I'm a Blogger freak.
Anyways! See this gorgeous headband my gorgeous sister is wearing?

Yep, I made it :-) Aaaand it can be all yours. I guess I should tell you how you can get it. :)
1. Follow my Blog (*If you are already following my blog, get at least one friend to follow.)

30 Day Challenge: Day 25

Day 25- A picture of your day.
I was pretty much sick all day & I still don't feel great. But hey, at least I made this super duper cute headband! (Modeled by my cutie-pie little sister) :D

You can put different flowers of different colors on it, or you can just wear it plain. :)
And I made this flower too! :)

I don't know, I thought it was a brilliant idea. Don't you? :)

30 Day Challenge: Day 24

Day 24 - A picture of something you wish you could change.

There is a lot of things I wish I could change. Like who won the last election for president. But about myself, I wish that my feet were 1 1/2 sizes smaller. My feet have been size 11 or 12 (depending on the brand) since I was 11. Now I know why my family and friends called me Big Foot. Thank goodness I'm grown into my feet now. But seriously, it's SO hard to find uber duber cute shoes in my size, AND I wish that I could borrow shoes from my sisters. That's all.

Ballroom Last Night

OK, we did NOT start on choreography. Origionally, Dan (the guy who used to be on the BYU Ballroom dance team & who teaches us) was going to do the choreography for us, but now me, my friend Jasmine, & the other people in the club are going to have to do it ourselves. Actually, it's not that bad, since we've learned over 20 tricks & moves.

Last night was tons of fun though. We started learning this trick where we start in closed dance position (picture shown), the girl jumps over the connected hands, then do a back-flip from there. Believe it or not, this is actually really hard. We were working on the jumping-over-the-hands part for at least half an hour. Since none of the girls could get to the point where they were jumping over every time, we quit and went to something else. Let's just say that my feet hate me today.

Closed dance position
My shoulder hates me too because we also learned how to do this really cool thing (It's not really a trick, but then it is really hard to do. At least for us taller girls). It's like an illusion, let's call it that. Pretty much, we do the rock-step triple-step and then the girl spreads her legs apart, flexes everything, pushes on the guy to keep her up, and the guy turns so that it looks like the girl is ice-skating. It's super duper cool looking, but I did not do it perfectly once. (Quite frustrating, because I usually catch on fast). I feel bad for my partner, because I tried so hard to keep myself up, but I somehow ended up being dead weight, so it looked like my partner was trying to swing around a gigantic rag doll.

While learning how to do that jumping trick I mentioned earlier, the guys were paranoid that their girl was going to fall. So, Dan decided to use me to demonstrate what to do in "emergency situations". He just told me to try to jump over, and every single time he would say "OH NO SHE'S GONNA FALL!" and he would "save" me. One of the times he helped me have a graceful landing to the floor. I was a little frustrated because I was not able to jump over my partners' arm, so I would try my hardest to jump over and he would stop me. Oh well, it was still pretty funny.

Life lesson (for guys): Never drop your girl.

A shenanigan

~*~..::DISCLAIMER: THIS POST IS VERY RANDOM::..~*~
We are FINALLY going to be starting choreography for Lindy. TONIGHT! Eeeee!!! Btw, it's the Ballroom Dance Club, and we're going to be performing it at the Jazz Band Swing Dance Dinner Fundraiser :) (Mile-long title) It's going to be legit, with crazy tricks and everything! Well, not as crazy as some tricks I've seen on Youtube, but crazy enough for me, or anybody, to be scared out of my wits to do them.
Confession: I'm really tall, and I'm scared of heights. Why do I say this? Sometimes, I have to be thrown in the air, and sometimes I reach heights that are well above my partner's head (Usually taller than I am). Let's see if I do get used to being thrown in air... Let the challenge begin!

My Life Is Average

Have you ever heard of the website called "My Life Is Average"? Well, if you haven't, look it up in your free time. It's amazing.

My Average story of the day:
I was reading MLIA just now and someone mentioned a website called http://www.wwwdotcom.com/. Being intrigued, I looked up this website. You know what it says? "

Attention:

You have reached the very last page of the Internet.

We hope you have enjoyed your browsing.

Now turn off your computer and go outside. "

I didn't even though there was a such thing as the last page of the internet.

I did something crazy today...

So, I am way way WAYYY behind in my online classes (Not even halfway done with the work for both classes). Because LIGHT just ended last night, I decided that I suddenly have all of this time to work my rear-end off on finishing these blasted classes.
BUT I have another commitment that doesn't even require time: Facebook. Yep, I'm addicted to Facebook (again). The sad thing? I'm always waiting for a best friend to get on, or somebody to comment on my status. You know the drill; I waste a lot of time lolly-gagging around. It's pathetic. Which is most likely why I feel like my life is pathetic; I spend all of my time doing pathetic things. But that's not the point I'm trying to get across.
Sooo today, I would be working on English for 2 minutes, then I would spend 10 minutes on Facebook. Out of the big blue, I called my mom over, covered my face, ducked my head between my legs & told her to change my Facebook password. And she did. Then with one last status change, making sure notification e-mails will no longer be appearing in my inbox, & a little bit of wimpering, I logged off of Facebook for the last time until my online classes are done.
I feel like a part of me stayed with that little world of social-networking, but I'm confident that it will be able to wiggle itself free. But still, it's like the "No Facebook for a month" all over again...
But hey, at least I'll have time to finish my ingenius plan for the upcoming 100th post ;)

Have you ever done something like this?

30 Day Challenge: Day 23

Day 23 - A picture of your favorite book.
Dude, this is as hard as choosing a favorite star in the heavens (Name that movie!) My current favorite recreational book (aka, favorite book besides my quad) is Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows. I have NEVER cried, or shouted as much as I did while reading this book.
Just a little bit of reminiscing here, I stayed up until at least midnight reading this every night the week before finals. Not good for my health, or my grades, but it was worth it. (BTW, I passed every final with surprisingly good scores. The night I finished this book, I was screaming "KILL THE DEATH-EATERS! GO MRS. WEASLEY, KILL BELLATRIX!!! .... YAY!!!!!" My family probably considered sending me to a mental hospital, or something. My younger brother and I are the only people in my whole family who are obsessed with HP (Actually, I think I'm the only one...)

30 Day Challenge: Day 22

Day 22-  A picture of something [I] wish [I] was better at.
I wish I was better at singing and dancing!

Monday, April 25, 2011

30 Day Challenge- Day 21

Day 21 - A picture of something you wish you could forget.

I wish that I could forget all of the stupid things I've done. Not stupid things that I did on purpose (like lighting a big piece of paper in jewelry), but stupid things I did that I knew better & did it without thinking. Does that make any sense?

Saturday, April 23, 2011

30 Day Challenge: Day 20

Day 20 - A picture of somewhere you'd love to travel.
I would love to travel to every single temple in the world.
So far I've been to:
Mesa, AZ
Gila Valley River Temple, also in AZ
San Diego, CA
Newport Beach, CA
Salt Lake City, UT
Denver, CO
Manhattan, NY

7 temples down, 160+ to go :)

The Power of Words

Amazing video... It changes your outlook on life!
Enjoy :)

30 Day Chalenge: Day 19

Day 19- A picture of you when you were little
I'm not the baby, that's Anna, my little sista, who was very little at the time. I was like 2 or 3 years old in this pic... Soo, about 14 years ago. Weird, I'm getting old

Thursday, April 21, 2011

30 Day Challenge: Day 18

Day 18- A picture of your biggest insecurity
Yes, that's Reese Witherspoon, but the picture fit perfectly for one of my biggest insecurities: running while somebody is behind me. I'll tell you why if you would ask me, cuz it's embarrassing

30 Day Challenge: Day 17

Oh hai, it turns out that the 100th post on this blog is 15 posts away after this post... The blogger dashboard lied to me!! Anyways, back to the 30 Day Challenge...

Day 17- A picture of something that has made a huge impact on your life recently
Being in LIGHT this year! It has helped me through some difficult times, I feel more confident about myself, & the amazing people in LIGHT have helped me grow spiritually! (I hope I haven't grown physically, I'm tall enough)
I'm depressed at the thought that our last show this season is a week from today :(

(Picture is at the old tabernacle in St. George Utah, where we did an EOI. Credit goes to one of the LIGHT mamas who came on tour with us. That was an amazing tour)

30 Day Challenge: Day 16

Day 16- (A) picture(s) of someone who inspires you

 1st pic (Going clockwise):
Missionaries! They leave their families and friends at home to serve the Lord for two years. (In the pic: my friend Elder Brimhall who is currently serving a mission in Scotland)
Jeri Jack! She is a dear friend of mine. She's an amazing photographer, has an amazing testimony, funny, and is just an amazing person in general! :D
Howard W. Hunter. He was prophet for nine months and made a huge impact in that time! When he was told he could never walk again, he proved that theory wrong. Plus, he did everything to be like Christ! (Seriously, there are some amazing stories)
Emma & Joseph Smith! Joseph Smith was the first prophet of the church, and he sacrificed so much to restore the gospel. Same with Emma. She supported her husband the whole way. She's my role model. :)
2nd pic:
The first presidency, 'nough said :)
3rd pic:
Every single person in LIGHT.

There are a lot more people who inspire me, this is just a few. Haha
99th post! I'm going to be working on my 100th post tonight ;)

Have you ever...

...had one of those days when for one silly reason, you don't have the will to do ANYTHING?
I have...

30 Day Challenge: Day 15

Day 15- A picture of something you want to do before you die
I want to get married in the temple and have a lot of kids before I die. (Most likely half of what you see in the pic.) Literally, if I am in a situation where I think I'm going to die, I say to myself "No, you can't die yet. You need to have a family before you do!" I've wanted to have a family for as long as I could remember!

Friday, April 15, 2011

30 Day Challenge: Day 14

Day 14- A picture of someone you can never imagine your life without

Dude, I can't picture my life without my family! (Gosh, it's a miracle that we could all fit into one frame...) I LOVE MY FAMILY SOO MUCH!!!
(P.S., my mummy made every single stocking you see in this pic except her own. 100+ hours per stocking.)

Thursday, April 14, 2011

30 Day Challenge: Day 13

Day 13- A picture of your favorite band or artist

Aye aye aye! This is hard. Sometimes it's Imogen Heap
 Sometimes William Joseph
Or Death Cab for Cutie
But at the moment, it's Courtney Cotter. She's not really well known, but she has her own album out. You should look her up :)

Outside Looking In...

Do you ever take time to look out of your circle of friends, see that someone is standing alone in the corner, and walk over to talk to this stranger? Probably not. That means you have to step out of your comfort zone to meet someone who is a "loner", and people might call you a "loner" too. Or this person might not be a fun person, and they might stalk you for the rest of your life. But who cares? This person is a child of God, just like you and me. There could be many reasons why they are quietly sitting in the corner. Maybe they are thinking of doing something horrible to themselves. Maybe they are just stressed out about their lives. Maybe they're extremely shy. Whatever the reason, smiling and talking to him/her can make their day, maybe even change their life.
I have an amazing story here that I want you to read, and as you're reading it, just think about what you're reading.
One day, when I was a freshman in high school, I saw a kid from my class walking home from school. His name was Kyle. It looked like he was carrying all of his books. I thought to myself, "Why would anyone bring home all his books on a Friday? He must really be a nerd." I had quite a weekend planned (parties and a football game with my friend tomorrow afternoon), so I shrugged my shoulders and went on. As I was walking, I saw a bunch of kids running toward him. They ran at him, knocking all his books out of his arms and tripping him so he landed in the dirt. His glasses went flying, and I saw them land in the grass about ten feet from him. He looked up and I saw this terrible sadness in his eyes. My heart went out to him. So, I jogged over to him and as he crawled around looking for his glasses, and I saw a tear in his
eye. As I handed him his glasses, I said, "Those guys are jerks. They really should get lives."

He looked at me and said, "Hey thanks!" There was a big smile on his face. It was one of those smiles that showed real gratitude. I helped him pick up his books, and asked him where he lived. As it turned out, he lived near me, so I asked him why I had never seen him before. He said he had gone to private school before now. I would have never hung out with a private school kid before..

We talked all the way home, and I carried his books. He turned out to be a pretty cool kid. I asked him if he wanted to play football on Saturday with me and my friends. He said yes. We hung all weekend and the more I got to know Kyle, the more I liked him. And my friends thought the same of him.

Monday morning came, and there was Kyle with the huge stack of books again. I stopped him and said, "Boy, you are gonna really build some serious muscles with this pile of books everyday!" He just laughed and handed me half the books.

Over the next four years, Kyle and I became best friends. When we were seniors, we began to think about college. Kyle decided on Georgetown, and I was going to Duke. I knew that we would always be friends, that the miles would never be a problem. He was going to be a doctor, and I was going for business on a football scholarship.

Kyle was valedictorian of our class. I teased him all the time about being a nerd. He had to prepare a speech for graduation. I was so glad it wasn't me having to get up there and speak.

Graduation day, I saw Kyle.. He looked great. He was one of those guys that really found himself during high school. He filled out and actually looked good in glasses. He had more dates than me and all the girls loved him! Boy, sometimes I was jealous.

Today was one of those days. I could see that he was nervous about his speech. So, I smacked him on the back and said, "Hey, big guy, you'll be great!" He looked at me with one of those looks (the really grateful one) and smiled. "Thanks," he said.

As he started his speech, he cleared his throat, and began. "Graduation is a time to thank those who helped you make it through those tough years. Your parents, your teachers, your siblings, maybe a coach.... but mostly your friends. I am here to tell all of you that being a friend to someone is the best gift you can give them. I am going to tell you a story." I just looked at my friend with disbelief as he told the story of the first day we met. He had planned to kill himself over the weekend. He talked of how he had cleaned out his locker so his Mom wouldn't have to do it later and was carrying his stuff home. He looked hard at me and gave me a little smile. "Thankfully, I was saved. My friend saved me from doing the unspeakable."

I heard the gasp go through the crowd as this handsome, popular boy told us all about his weakest moment. I saw his Mom and Dad looking at me and smiling that same grateful smile. Not until that moment did I realize it's depth.

Never underestimate the power of your actions. With one small gesture you can change a person's life. For better or for worse. God puts us all in each other's lives to impact one another in some way. Look for God in others.

Randoms

Call me weird, but I have recently discovered that I have an obsession for:
Celtic Music. It's just so happy! Plus, it reminds me of totally epic movies.
Jello. Made from animal bones, hooves, and skins. Delightful! JK. (I wonder if vegetarians eat Jello... I'll ask my friend Jasmine)

Hair accessories. (Pic coming soon. I'm sure you know what they are. If you don't, Google is your new best friend) No outfit is complete without hair accessories. :)

What are some randoms you're obsessed with?

30 Day Challenge: Day 12

Day 12- A picture of something you love
Yes, I do love soft snow, but that's not what I want this picture to mean. Two things: I love being happy, and I love being, well... me! I don't mean it in a conceited way at all, I'm just happy that I'm who I am, even though I do have many flaws.

30 Day Challenge: Day 11

Day 11- A picture of something you hate.
I hate any form of contention. True, I cause it too sometimes, but I still can't stand it. Especially wars. It makes me want to cry.

100th Post

I am nearing my 100th post, I want to do something extra special, but I have no idea what to do! Any ideas?

P.S. What do you think about the new layout? :)

30 Day Challenge: Day 10

Day 10 - A picture of the person you do the most messed up things with.
Excuse the weird pic. It has to be my younger sis Anna! We have been dealing with each other sharing the same room for 14 years. We do quarrel, like normal siblings, but man, the crazy things we do! (Right, Anna?)

New York: The first Day that was Practically Perfect in Every Way

It is very late on a Monday night, but I have no school tomorrow, so I might as well write a whole post about NY now :)

Tuesday/Wednesday:
Bye bye AZ!
Sooo our flight was suppose to leave from Phoenix at 10:30 PM. I did not really care to talk to people, as I usually go to bed around that time, so my brain was pretty much shut off. Flying is both exciting & terrifying at the same time: You're thousands of feet above the ground, the view is amazing, but then the plane might take a crash landing for whatever reason. No matter what position I put myself in, I could not sleep to save my life. Thankfully, my dear friend Shannon gave me her jacket and I was able to comfortably lean on her (I say this because the armrest was up, & it was poking my side) and fall into a half sleep.
We landed in Georgia, and because of lack of sleep, I was jumping around and being plain annoying. Ate a lot of yummy food with Amelia & Amanda, then slept in the cold, Georgia airport. I do not remember much of the flight from Georgia to Philadelphia, but then those details don't matter much. All I know is that our plane was late in arriving: 11 AM (not AZ time. Have you ever been so tired, it seems like you're not? I have.)
Spongebob! Leave Kyle alone!
One iPod+3 headphones=happiness
The rest of the day consisted mostly of driving, pit stops, and listening to music. We stopped at the gas station with a Cinnabon, Popeyes', Burger King, & some other restaurant I never heard of. I wanted to just spend $5, so I spent it on a Kids' Meal, and got a Spongebob squirty toy out of it. Man, we had fun with it... Everybody got annoyed with it spitting water in their ears, so he was condemned to my purse for the rest of the trip.

From what I heard, our hotel was actually in New Jersey. We got there some time before 6 to put our stuff in our rooms, & spiff ourselves up for seeing Mary Poppins on BROADWAY!!!! SQUEE!! We had dinner first, at some place called Dallas BBQ (I know, we're in NY, & we go to some restaurant named after a city in Texas? Come one! The food was yummy though). Ribs, chicken, fries, cornbread. What a grand feast! I was expecting the same with dessert, but we got nothing but teeny, rich, unlawfully delicious brownies.
The moment arrived to go to Times Square to see Marry Poppins! First impressions of New York was not bad at all by the way. I don't remember seeing any New Yorkers glaring, and I did not hear any yelling except from the vendors. I LOVED NY!!! It's amazing! Anyways, Mary Poppins on Broadway was magical. Literally. It was like a whole household on stage, and to this day I still have no idea how in the world they managed to do the scene changes. I was falling asleep half during the slower parts, but besides that, I was awake. Supercalifragilisticexpialidocious (hey, I spelt it right the first time!) reminded me of Alice In Wonderland, but Step in Time was AMAZING! Bert walked up the walls and was tap-dancing on the ceiling for crying out loud! And of course, at the very end, Mary Poppins actually flies over the audience (including the nose-bleed section where we sat). The musical was "practically perfect in every way"! I LOVED IT I LOVED IT I LOVED IT

Picture Not Mentioned Yet: Random trash can outside of the restaurant. I wonder how the police finds out who threw away the TV dinner that was obviously consumed in a household. DNA samples, possibly?

30 Day Challenge: Day 9

Day 9 - A picture of the person who has gotten you through the most.
My mom! Sometimes I have really bad break-downs, but when I talk to my mum, I feel a lot better! :) I love my mummy :))

30 Day Challenge: Day 8

Day 8: A Picture that makes you laugh.

Oh, gosh, this one is hard! There are WAY too many funny pictures in the world! Ugh! I'll just go with dees-a-one.
This is a friend of a friend. I was bored last summer & saw that one of my friends made an interesting comment on a pic, so I clicked on the link and I see this. And oh my goodness, it made my day xD

30 Day Challenge: Day 7

I fail at doing the 30 Day Challenge haha, but I'm still going to do it.

My most treasured item(s) are the scriptures (This includes my quad, my journal, & my patriarchal blessing). To me, scriptures are things that are from God, so automatically it's my quad, and my patriarchal blessing. Obviously, my journal and most of the writings in my journal are not from Him, but it's where I write all of my experiences, so in a way, they are like scriptures.

Sorry, I don't have much time now to talk about NY, but I will on Friday! In the meantime, please watch this video :) I'm usually on the right.

Enjoy! <3

It's been an Eternity!

Hey everybody! I'm sorry that I haven't been writing on my Blog lately. The internet has not working at my house so I've been having to go to other peoples houses to work on my online classes, check e-mail, Facebook, etc. & I feel bad for dominating their computers so ya. But the neighbors house I'm currently at has guests over, so I guess it's OK. As of now, the 30 day challenge is going to be paused until the internet starts working at my house again.

In the meantime, I'll just tell you how amazing life is...

First of all, after months of stressing out, I was finally able to get all of the money I need to pay for LIGHT [THANK YOU SOO MUCH, GRANDMA & GRANDPA. FOR THE ZILLIONTH TIME. I LOVE YOU!!! (I doubt they read my blog, but whatevs)] . I will pay them back via a super duper fantabulous fundraiser. (More details to come).

I have to say, I am super duper excited to go to competition! Oh, did I tell you where we're going??? NEW YORK, BABY! I am SO darn excited I can't even express my excitement through words. We leave 8:30 on Tuesday night, so just a couple of short days. This is going to be my first time ever going to New York! And my first time ever seeing a Broadway musical! We're going to be seeing Mary Poppins on Wednesday! I'm not sure what we're going to be doing the whole, but I also know that we're going to do baptisms for the dead in the Manhattan Temple. You know what's weird about that? The temple is INSIDE a building! Seriously, it's going to be so cool! I believe that we're going to Ellis island sometime before Saturday, which is competition day!! :D I have to say, our show is pretty awesome. We've worked so hard to get it the way it is, it's ridiculous. You should seriously come to our big show that's in April, because we're going to be doing our competition numbers then, so you'll get a chance to see what I mean. Just ask me about more details :) SQUEEEE!!!! :D

On another note, I have had quite the blonde moment today. So, when I got home from church today, I decided to make myself freshly squeezed OJ. I went through the whole process of squeezing the oranges and stuff, and decided that I wanted it to be pulp-free. So I did what normal people do: grab the mini strainer and pour the whole thing. Without thinking, I poured the juice into the strainer over the sink with no container underneath, so I pretty much poured the juice that I wanted to drink into the drain and had nothing but the pulp left. I think it made a good laugh, but I'm still a bit depressed that I didn't have the freshly squeezed OJ I've been looking forward to.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY DAD!!!!! I LOVE YOU!!!!!

30 Day Challenge: Day 6

Day 06 - A picture of a person you'd love to trade places with for a day.
This was SO hard to decide, but I would love to trade places with Lauren Froderman for a day!
In case you didn't know, Lauren was the winner of 'So You Think You Can Dance' this last year. I would LOVE to be able to dance like her... She makes it all look easy! Besides that, she's hilarious! I just love her!

Here's a vid of her doing hip hop:

My favorite from her comptemporary:

30 Day Challenge: Day 5

Sorry, I totally skipped out on a day, but it's sooo hard to decide!
*UPDATE: I was looking at the challenge for Day 6. FAIL*

Day 05 - A picture of your favorite memory.
There are so many favorite memories to chose from. :)
This occured last year, a Friday about March-April-ish, when I ditched school to see my friend Sam play the Pirate King (again; he was Pirate King when Heritage did it!), in Pirates of Penzance! 'Twas very amazing & hilarious all at once! After the play, I had to go back to school for musical practice. Yup, this memory makes me very happy :]

30 Day Challenge: Day 4

Day 04 - A picture of your favorite night.
OK, this was more like one of my favorite days of my life. I'm sorry about the picture, but it's the only decent one of the few pics that were taken that day. *

*I apologize in advance because all of the facts are going to be scattered*

Pretty much, this was the day when LIGHT went to a Show Choir Summit in Surprise. It wasn't just LIGHT, but also quite a few other show choirs. We had one day to learn the choreography, and in my case, the music, then we performed it that very night. Three of the top choreographers in the country were there: one of them actually choreographed the Lion King & Tarzan for LIGHT, the other two were gay...

There was an all-boys number (Wild Things), and there was an all-girls number (Party in the U.S.). The whole group split in half and each half did another number. My half did "Jai Ho" (I loooove that song and I LOVED the choreography! Look it up on my playlist), the other half did "Car Wash".

There are so many more reasons why it was one of my most favorite days, but I'm sure it could get boring, so I'll just leave it at that, haha :)

Day 03 : A picture of the cast from your favorite show.
I love this show, like, sooo much! I have not been able to watch it though because life is busy :(

30 Day Challenge: Day 2

Day 2: A picture of you and the person you have been close with for the longest.

This is Laura. I have known her since 7th grade, but we didn't actually start to hangout until 8th grade. I can say that she is one of my very best friends, since we're pretty much inseparable, despite the fact that we have been going to different schools for two years. Plus, we can totally finish each others sentences. Creepy, but it's awesome :) I loves her!!!!

30 Day Challenge: Day 1

One of my dear friends is doing a 30 Day Challenge thing on Facebook, so I decided to do it on Blogger :) This is going to be fun :)

Day 1: A picture of yourself with fifteen facts.

1. I LOVE reptiles. Forget having a family dog, I'm going to have a Banana Iguana!
2. I have been size 11 in shoes since I was well... 11! (And I used to wonder why I was called Bigfoot)
3. I enjoy burnt cookies better than gooey cookies (Unless it's with ice cream). Not black burnt, brown burnt.
4. Once, a pesky little fly would not leave me alone, so I killed it. I still felt bad a couple days later. Therefore, I literally won't harm a fly (anymore).
5. I would like to have an old-fashioned car (Like, a Bug or Chevy) as my first car, or at least some point in my life.
6. I don't have my permit x(
7. When I was little, I would only eat pancakes if they were shaped as Mickey-Mouse. It's true today because I still don't enjoy the taste of my mum's pancakes; they seem to taste better when they're shaped as Mickey Mouse!
8. I love to clean, and yet my room is almost always a wreck.
9. I can be a little A.D.D. at times.
10. Tags sticking out of their shirts bug the heck out of me! (O.C.D.? Yes.)
11. I've been using the same 32 oz Gatorade water bottle since about 8th grade. (Don't worry, it's washed regularly)
12. Besides a mom, I either want to be a massage therapist, a photographer, or a cosmetologist when I grow up. Maybe all three. :)
13. I am 5' 11 3/4", I don't play basketball, and I love wearing my six-inch heels :)
14. (Almost done. Thank goodness!) I think that singing & dancing at the same time for 3 songs is easier than doing jumping-jacks for a whole song (I learned this at LIGHT practice)
15. I have been dancing half of my life & I STILL can't do the splits. On the bright side, I'm closer than I used to be :)
